Friends' Book Sales

Our Book Sales are not to be missed! The Friends have a dedicated book room stocked with thousands of donated books. We carry all genres - fiction, cookbooks, travel, children's, history, crafts, gardening, science, and much more. We also have a selection of CDs, DVDs, and some games (board games and video games). Members of the Friends are invited to preview hours before the public sale begins. We accept cash and checks (no credit or debit cards) and all proceeds benefit the Malden Public Library.

Our Spring Book Sale  was the 5th and 6th of May this year,  and

our Fall Book Sale will be the 17th and 18th of November.   

Friday evening is the Members Only Sneak Preview, and  Saturday is open to the General Public.

2023 has been the beginning of our partnership

with New England Coffee Co.!

We have a sponsored NECC Coffee Truck parked at the

Library entrance during our Saturday morning Book Sales.

NECC donates their best brews...  and we ask our patrons

for a donation for their beverage.

All proceeds go funding the Library's programs!

we will always have a special selection of books related to the event!

HOW TO DONATE

We accept books, CDs, DVDs, and game donations year-round, simply drop them off at the Library during business hours. Please no college prep workbooks, study guides or travel books published prior to 2020, or books in extremely poor condition (no torn coves or pages, no mold, etc.).

We also do not accept cassette tapes, records, household items, or knickknacks.
